The training of security personnel
Training is a vital component in ensuring that our security personnel is adequately equipped to provide our clients with excellent service outputs. We realize the importance of providing our staff with the skills and development opportunities they deserve and to this end offer them career enhancement plans to ensure their individual progression.
Our training strategy encompasses the following:
- Accredited PSIRA training establishment.
- Provision of legislated grade training, site specific training and on-going refresher training.
- Our security personnel are specifically task trained and undergo
constant evaluations by management. - Refresher training is conducted on a regular basis to ensure the company’s prescribed standard of competency is maintained. This also assists in avoiding the comfort zone trap.
- Security officers on site can be trained in emergency situations as
per your company’s emergency plan and standard operating procedures.
All Security officers are registered
with the Private Security Industry
Regulatory Authority (PSIRA). Each
employee must have received full
security clearance before being
employed, and they need to have
undergone the required training
relevant to the level of certification
granted by PSIRA.
It is also to be noted that KLS Security is a member of the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority and complies with the following:
- Security Industry Sectoral
- Determination Labour Relations Act (LRA)
- Basic Conditions of Employment Act ( BCEA)
- Employment Equity Act ( EEA)
- Skills Development Act and will continue to monitor new legislations and comply as such should there be any developments to that effect
